On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 4,073. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 10.600 billion and the numbers of lots traded were 12,394. Major business was contributed by Gold amounting to PKR 4.846 billion followed by NSDQ100 PKR 2.154 billion, DJ PKR 1.049 billion, WTI Crude Oil PKR 880.181 million, SP500 PKR 692.198 million, Currencies through COTS PKR 530.339 million, Silver PKR 302.312 million, Platinum PKR 103.923 million, Natural Gas PKR 25.062 million, Brent Crude Oil PKR 7.493 million and Copper PKR 7.414 million. In agriculture 2 lots of Cotton amounting at PKR 0.952 million were traded.
